new ls3. what will I run
2000 camaro
400 trans 3600 stall
3.42 gears. Full weight
Previous engine was bone stock lq4 with 585 lift cam7.81 best et
New engine is ls3 with heads milledLs6 cam ( only because its 3 bolt)Other than that all stock engine
Should I expect an et pick up at all? If so how fast

Well they should be. No reason why a auto bolt-on car should not go 7.6's or better in the 1/8. My buddies m6 bolt-on car did that and didn't even have headers. A auto car should 1/8 better than him. he did have a little weight reduction but most came in the course of modding. Still a complete car.

Second, a 7.81 1/8 mile is estimated 12.1's in the 1/4. For a Stock Lq4 with a small cam, full weight plus the added weight of the iron block, thats about right. My LQ9 making 380/380 setup would run bottom 12's @ 116-117 in good weather. Thats 3750lbs race weight, 17s all around, feathering the clutch to get a high 1.7 or low 1.8 60'.
A LS3 with milled heads & a stock LS6 cam & assuming you have headers, should be around 420-430rwhp. I would expect 121 traps out of a full weight fbody in full street trim with a 6 speed with that power. Being that you have a TH400 id expect a lower mph, my guess would be 119 maybe 120. With that mph and a 1.6 60' should be mid 11's in the 1/4

what was his trap?
It sounds like your telling us a mildly bolt on "almost full weight" Fbody with no headers (probably 340rwhp at best) would run about the same as a fantastic driver in a stock C5 Z06 vette making 350-360rwhp. Not happening.
Your might have the slip reading that info but no way that is accurate. Come up to PRP and we'll see what you run.

Ok - a 7.6 in the 1/8 is a 11.8 1/4.

Bet you hate that ****. So now no ones slip is accurate?
Just trying to help op. He for sure has more mods than this car. Sometimes you have to go back and look at basics before you make progress. Like I said his car should be faster than a mild bolt-on ls1.
