searching will let you see some rough estimates but it's all benchracing...

better off just doing the proven mods: air lid (do NOT do a cold air intake with 90* bends and piping or the K&N thing that sits on top of the radiator), headers, 3.5"-4" off road y or dual exhaust, LS6 intake manifold since you have a 2000 (01-02 cars had it stock), and a ported stock throttle body if you can get it done cheap and a good tune for those mods (either reputable mail order or dyno tune...no programmers)

after that look at a cam, pushrods, valve springs, timing chain, and new oil pump since it all should be done at once

Id hope the $600 is for an actual dyno tune. Most times its around a 100 bucks to make 3 pulls on the dyno with no tuning. With the mods you have and the 6 speed im sure your around the 400-415rwhp territory.

yeah that's with the actual tune included. I don't just want to check the rwhp might as well do the tune while I am there. lol

With the intake, throttle body and cam you NEED a tune.

The guy I got it from told me he got it tuned a few years back.. but I just want to see and have on paper the current HP and while i am there make sure that the car is tuned correct. do tunes go bad or alter some how over time?

I would do a dyno pull and maybe pull the plugs for now and read them if you can or post pictures and ask. See if it is running to lean or rich if you can afford to get it retuned.

depending on cam, should be around 390-410rwhp or so

I would get them to dyno it with air fuel monitored and if it is safe leave it alone...no point tuning a tuned car with correct air/fuel ratio

unless the tune is locked it should be free plus whatever the tuner charges for his time to look at the current tune, you do not have to buy credits to look at it
