he just bought a 2008 gt500, 100% stock, manual trans. hes claiming he will walk me from a dig, roll, whatever he says he will win hands down, and it seems everybody at work agrees with him.
im running a forged ls1, ported 243 heads, 230/235 .600/.612 113lsa cam, fast 92, full exhaust, 3600 stall, built trans, stock 3.23 gear. engine has roughly 3000 miles on it.
i think ill have a good chance.

They trap around 110-112 stock, so yes you should win. Film it.

I think to the tires they are only putting down 440 hp and they are heavy

Set it up, dig, roll from any speed, film it. You'll win. Share with us and your fellow employees.

Those are closer to 400rwhp and are heavier than us by about 500lbs. I'm pushing more than that with an LT1 and similar mods, you should better me even with the auto. Add in heat soak and they'll be down even more on power.

In my opinion you will walk him pretty good, I have Lt's, 3600 stall 3.73s and drag radials and would not be afraid to throw some money down on a dig race with one, I may win, I may lose, but I would not get walked

you should destroy him if you are on good tires and your setup is tuned properly
