Me on spray vs HCI LS1 with turbo
Wanna get everyone's thoughts on this upcoming race this Sunday. A buddy of mine just finished his turbo build and we are really curious to see how we compare with me on the 125 shot. His mods are as follows: LS1 Camaro, lightly ported 241 heads, 228r cam, Fast 92, full long tube exhaust, 6-speed with stock gears, and 5 psi turbo setup. My mods are in my sig. I'm really curious about this one lol. I really don't know what to expect from his setup, but he's thinking it should be around maybe 550 rwhp. This will be from a roll as well. What's everyone's thoughts on this...

Yep that's exactly the plan. Even from a 2nd gear roll I can't hook with these 315 BFG dr's so I'll probably do a hit at around 3500 rpm in 3rd. The torque from juice quickly puts me in my power band so that won't be an issue.

Must be nice lol. I guess I could run n/a through 2nd n/a then hit the sauce once in 3rd, but even spinning in 2nd I'm sure I'm faster than not spinning in 2nd running n/a. Damn 4.10's lol.

Not sure on the size of the turbo. I wanna say it's a 76 mm. I know he said it's capable of like 20 or 25 psi. Before he did this turbo we both ran n/a, and I beat him by a good 3 cars or so. So consider he gained like 100-150 rwhp on 5 psi, and I have an extra 125 rwhp on the shot I'm still thinking I'll get him again

Yes hooking is a big problem for me lol, but if I do a low roll in 3rd I'm fine. Which will work out fine actually since 50 mph in 2nd is the sweet spot for my buddy (stock 3.42's) it will work just fine for me in 3rd thanks to the 4.10 gears and instant torque of the nitrous

Well different turbos can make different power is the reason I asked, BUT with him just getting the car done, probably not really used to it yet and you have your car pretty much dialed in. My money is on you.
Remember everytime he turns it up, you need to head out into the garage and start drilling out some nitrous and fuel pills haha
