Default H/C/I LS1 vs built SBC
My brother and I are putting our motors together right now, so of course there is some smack talk happening. I figured I would get some opinions. What do you think?

His motor
355 sbc
10.3
Sportsman 2 heads 2.02 1.6 valves angle plug
228/236 cam i think
1.6 re
Sniper efi
1 5/8 shorty headers

My motor
Refreshed ls1 bottom end
10.8
Prc Stage 2.5 243 heads
228/232 cam
Fast 92/92
1 3/4 long tubes

Any ideas of crank hp? He thinks it will be close I think I'm going to put power him by a bit.

A combo like yours should be making close to 500 crank or more (figure it's a typical 430-450 rwhp setup behind a manual trans)

I would peg his combo at least 75hp down from that on a good day.

I remember the first beat down an LS car laid on me. It was my buddies 98 SS. I had a mildly modded 87 z28. I knew right then that the game had changed.

They are actually more than likely the right header for the combo. It wont move enough air for anything more...
