Default DRIFT/AUTO-X EVENT FOR THE New England GUYS!!!! @ Gillette

im trying to get a massive (like 200- 300 cars) show/ drift/auto-x thing going on but i want too see how many people would be interested im going to make it a 2-day event and im thinking 50$ a person to slide race or whatever im trying to organize this at GILLETTE STADIUM so theres no worry about room but i need alot of people to make the liability and all of the bull go away so post this everywhere and anywhere i want everybody to show up from civics to 350zs to muscle cars im also goiung to see if i can get 90% of the proceeds to go towards a charity and the rest to liability.

Looking like July 25th and 26th.
Drift/Show: July 25th
AutoX/Show: July 26th

Gillette Stadium
1 Patriot Place
Foxboro, MA

According to this map:
http://library.kraftsportsgrou...p.pdf

Looks to be lot 51 (320,000 sq. ft) for event and 52 (250,000 sq. ft) for the show.

This is not my event I found it at the following link:

I would like to get as much American Muscle to come as possible. Just from friends, I know I have at least 2 other z28 ls1 camaro's and a 01 convert stang joining in on the fun. I am sure I will be getting more. Lets make this event happen and represent what we can do.

I'd probably bring the goat down if they can get this together. Would be fun to try not just going in a straight line!

Having looked into Gillettte for autoxing, It is very expensive, and getting any ins coverage for a drifting event is next to impossible. The SCCA now needs all drivers to become temp members just to get the Ins. The SCCA just bearly breaks even with 150 drivers paying 40.00, and this is a 1 day event at a much cheaper location, and most places wont even talk about any automotive event that is not linked to a manufacture. We looked at the south weamouth air station a few yrs ago and they wanted 10k a day and had very high ins requirements.
So make sure you do your research.

Maybe I can get my nephew to bring his Miata down there. He'd be up for some auto-x. I'd surely be there to attend at least.

I would think with all the politics and insurance involved, Logan airport would be easier venue

Going in circles makes me dizzy anyways, and WTF is there to see on a road course a car going by every 6 minuets,They would have to pay me to go..........

Autocross laps are *not* 6 minutes each. generally 80-110 seconds a lap with the BMWCCA running the show. GREAT tracks they set up at the airport in Ayer, MA on the runways.

^^I was just gonna say that.... the idea is great, but why not just go to an already sanctioned event that's run by a club already?? I'd go either way, but I'm sure it'll be close to impossible to get this approved. Also, with that many cars how is everyone gonna fit in to race? Either way I'd be interested.
