Default 9" gear oil

I'm wondering if you guys would recommend using Napa 80-90 weight non-synthetic gear oil in a Moser 9" rear.

It's on my list of things to change before I take it out this year.

Thanks, Fred

Thats what I just filled mine up with. If your gears are already broken in synthetic may gain you a minute amount less drag.

Redline has a gear lube thats really good. It sticks to everything, I just took my rear apart after sitting all winter and it was still sticking to the axles and top of the ring gear

Not a 9" but, I used regular Lucas 85/140 in my 12 bolt. It's what Strange recommended.

So Napa 90-140 non-synthetic gear oil? I guess if thicker is better than no need for full synthetic Mobil 1, or any major manufacturer. I wonder if Napa sells 90-140 gear oil.

What is this about the Maine mile race? Haven't heard anything about that. Besides I'm not sure I want to hold this car wide open for a full mile, with 3.50 gears and this HP with the M6, probably go air born.

That's what Moser recommended to me, 80/90 non-synthetic. I think that I used Napa.
