Great day the the track Don, and great to see you having some fun
Ted was flat out robbed in the first round, but atleast we can say we are both ahead of him in points (for the next few weeks anyway)

See you at the next race! or earlier if I can scounge up some $ for a set of headers

Don your car was running great for the first time out. Little more weight reduction and tweaking will get you where you need to be.

Great to see you and Vinny get through the 1st round even though you guys arent quite dialed in yet.
Nate - a couple of the guys have weather stations that they are kind enough to share the results from.

It was cool to see the 2 toughest cars end up in the finals against each other for a change - even if they are sandbaggin old school race cars beatin up on a bunch of street cars.
I was actually kinda psyched to get the 67 big block mustng in the 1st round. I wanted to take him out sooooo bad.

Great to hear that the shop car made it first passes Don.
Sounds like I missed a great time even with the heat. I'll get there soon enough.

It's an automatic car, I would expect it to do mid 11's with the mods. With cooler air from an nov/dec atco run should put it 2 tenths quicker. DA does make a huge diff as long as the car can still hook which again for a auto should not be that much of an issue. Congratz on the time. Your not far off from Cage requirements at least if you were in a NHRA track.

I still think about a built 4L60e or a 4L80e swap considering how well my mis-matched LT1 383 car did against alot of stuff on the street and the track. We will see.

Nice Don!

Seriously that car with a stall and 9" put down 370 on a dyno jet. That's pretty impressive, the trap speaks for itself, especially in the heat.

Were you using nitto's? How do you like that Yank converter?

Fast intake and a little weight reduction you could run the 11.5 bracket before you touched the heads.

Wish I lived closer to you guys, you get to do all the fun stuff and all I get to do is hear about it

When my car was similarly modded, slightly smaller stall and cam it made 374 on the dyno (dynojet) and I ran a 11.9 @ 111-112, in probably lower temps than what Don had. You gotta remember the car weighs almost 3700lbs, thats' really pretty good for a cam only super streetable car in the heat. Cooler air makes a huge difference, I agree a good .2-.3. or so.

A 400hp stalled A4 is a pretty fun street car. Don was always the guy everytime he worked on my car said an auto was cheating, and now look lol

Great to hear the red rocket out there making some passes. I am sure a few tweeks you will have that car running 11.50's. I should be up there with you guys next race.

My car makes about 390 on the m6, does 12.30's with a heavy race weight, if sticking a t-56 in there he should be faster due to power and weight given driving being the same. A auto will be faster if all things the same, suspension requirements become different at this power level. I wouldnt/shouldnt need springs or a drag bar where as in the m6 I def need it.

Like said I had a auto and if I lived closer or raced more often I think one would be going back in. Dont mind me, im thinking out loud.

The converter did good but my 10" ET street's didn't like it.The 60's were the best of 1.58 and worst of 1.62. I had no test time to see where the magic stall is but it can be footbraked to 3800rpm.

I've got some parts coming that will put me past 11.5 in the heat

If I get bored the C5R 427ci motor will be put in.

How's the drivability (looseness) compared to my car? (just curious)

those numbers seem to be pretty close to where they should be.

the couple cam only cars i have done run in the 11.4-11.6 range but they are running threw stock 10 bolts.
chris has my custom 232 cam in his car, pascetter headers (junk) a cut out air lid, 3:73's in his 10 bolt, MT et drad radials full weight car with all options, and he went 11.5 in ok weather. not great, but ok.

It's pretty loose but I have the lockup.For a street car I'd prefer a M6 over a stalled A4 anyday.
