Default Turbo 6 in a fox body?

Has anyone ever seen a project like this. I have been wanting to do this for a while and now that i ralize i cant really make my car as fast as i want it i may finally go on to this.

wanna buy a fox body roller due to the size and weight and put a turbo 6 gn motor in it. the power and weight would make this thing absolutely fly. any ideas how difficult this would be, there should be plenty of room for the v6 but the 200r4 tranny im not sure about. any input would be appreciated.

i know this might not be an ls powered question but its still a gm drivetrain.

it can be done....but why not just a turbo Lsx powered fox. itd probably be alot cheaper b/c those GN 6's are getting pretty pricey to rebuild. unless of course you're just gonna leave it stock....they cant take alot of abuse stock. it'll need some internal work. i have a buddy thats been workin on GN's for years and he tells me all the time how much of a choir it is to get that 6cyl reliable to handle a good amount of power.

it would be a nice little project though.

I have seen a few. I saw one in Bowling Green and 2 on turbobuick.com. It all fits, and the parts are out there. We fit it all in a 92 RX7 that is a daily driver that runs 9.85 at 141. on 18lbs of boost. You can build them to go low 11's and daily drivable for a reasonble price.

i would go with a built motor, i would wait to find someone selling one built already, save me a lot of money. i figured its rare youi ever see one and these things if built right(turbo 6) can be very reliable as DD. brothers has 400hp/500tq to the wheels in his and has never had it break down. i will have to search turbo buicks to find them.

There was a guy around CT that had one for a while with a GN driveline in it. Car went pretty good, I don't know what it ran, but I know enough people that raced it that lost to know it had to be a bottom 11 second car. I have absolutely no idea what was done to it, you know how GN stuff is, a stock one and a 10 second one can look pretty much identical and you'll never know which one is the fast one until it's too late

very true, i like the fact that you can open the cutouts and make the thing rumble and here the turbo spool instantly or close the cutouts and run it through mufflers and barely barely hear the thing. i truly think if i kept the fox stock appearing people would think it was a 4 cylinder by listening to it., or they would think it was an SVO(turbo 4 cyl)

A stock Buick Turbo 109 block can be made to run reliably to 11.50's. Below that I would suggest using an RJC engine girdle.

A turbo lsx would be cool but lots of people have done that... a Ta performance alum block 274 gn setup would be crazy... nothing like 1000rwhp turbo six... but what are you looking for? a stock motor swap? stage 2 setup? or a fully built set up.. i could get you any of these setups.. its on how much you wanna spend and how fast you wanna go.. right now our gn stage 2 runs 8.7's @158 @3300lbs
