Fremont, NH sled grass drags......
This wknd, 10th and 11th....usually a huge turnout w/all the heaviest hitters in the East and Canada running on Sunday. Only 10 minutes from New England Dragway....Hopefully w/co-operating weather...Towing my Brother's 30 footer up for a good pit spot early Fri. morning...somewhere that he won't need to hire a tractor to get towed out of the mud late Sun afternoon if the big rains come Fri. afternoon/nite.....WJ

Pit location....
Brad: just got back....muddy up there and it hadn't even started raining yet...we left at 5:45 am and were there at 7am. Traffic nasty coming back down 495. We have a white 30' U.S. Cargo enclosed w/tandem axle rig---well worn--no lettering on trailer--Ma. plate. Trailer is parked facing downhill, right opposite where you turn onto return road after making a pass...Also, not too far from the portable bathroom that's also right where you enter the return road...His truck is a late model 2500 GMC blk diesel/allison x-cab. You'll see Gary's F7 green Super Stock/Imp. Stock Arctic, Bob Witmer's Mod Arctic's, and 2 of Shawn Wood's vintage Merc Sno-Twisters right in that area....Brad, tomorrow I'll be over at NED for our CMDR event, but I'll look for you at Fremont on Sunday. Make sure you go and introduce yourself to my Bro, Gary....OK? Hope the weather doesn't f..k everyone's wknd up....Best wishes. WJ

Fremont Sun. pics....
I have some Sun. pics....will try to get them up within next couple of days...They are of the Benoit/Walter Joy 1000 open-mod Doo, my brother Gary's 700 Improved, 700 SS Cat, Sylvain LaFlamme's 800 Improved Doo, Bob Witmer's 1000 SS Cat and others. Shawn Wood also won 2 Vintage Sled classes w/his 2 Mercury Sno-Twisters. Big crowds. Late in the day Sunday, Witmer and LaFlamme were tied for best light/reaction time of the wknd....all these guys mentioned had 1st's and/or 2nds in their respective classes. Results should be up on the Northeast Grassdrags site and also some others. Some great car racing over at NED this past weekend (both days) as well.... WJ

Daryl, the kid that crashed doing the back flip is possibly paralyzed. Here is something his cousin wrote on one of the sites. Hopefully the kid can make a recovery.
"Thank you all for your concern. The update on Darryl is that they attempted surgery and every time they laid him on his stomach, he had difficulty breathing. So unfortunately, they were unable to do surgery at all. They have to wait until his lungs stabilize. In the meantime, he has been intubated to assist his breathing.
So far, it seems that he has some sensation in his neck and arms. But from the the chest down, it's looking like he's paralyzed. But we won't know the extent of the injury until they can get him into surgery and see the damage.
I will keep you posted as I receive more information. "
3rd sled to go off.
