Default Rapid Motorsports now Tuning Mazda 3/6

I know it's not LSx related but we just acquired software to tune Mazda DISI engines used in 2005 - 2010 Mazda 3 and 6 vehicles. If you know anyone that has one of these, pass the info along.

I was looking at a 3 for a new daily driver. Any idea if it's worth tuning one bone stock?

I just got the software a few days ago. It looks as if there's quite a bit of torque management in there that limits the boost levels. I'll let you know once I get to play with one.

Actually I'm looking at the regular 3, not the turbo MazdaSpeed3. I read an article about the MazdaSpeed3 that said they put in a lot of torque management when it's in the lower gears to help control torque steer, that's probably what you're seeing.

My uncle just got a Speed3 or whatever they're called. I'll have to send him your way as long as his wife lets him...

Hey Mikey, I never heard how you did at the Pinks All Out you said you were going to. I watched the one that was in Maryland recently and I thought I saw your Trans Am parked behind 2 guys who were commentating but I didn't see it run.

The car ran real good in the heat. It was 9.49 to 9.50 all weekend (in between the rain). They picked the 8.99 - 9.49 class so I didn't get on TV. Was a fun time though.

I wish they would've showed it run. So was that the Trans Am they showed when they were talking? It was in the backround when Ken Herring was talking to someone.

Ya, that was Mike's T/A that was in the background when those two were talking. Mikey was probably sitting in the motorhome with the A/C cranked up!
