After 12+ years of the LS1 FBody, ignorant people remain!
True Story:
After parking the car I was walking to my condo last night when I saw a man in his early 40's puting the finishing touches on a freshly washed Black LS1 Trans Am 'Vert.
As a fellow friendly LS1 owner, I walked over and started a conversation by saying "Nice car"
After a few pleasantries and finding out it was an '02 and a 6spd the man asked me if I had one or was familiar with what this car is. I said I might have a clue lol. Saying I have a '01 WS6 with a 6spd as well. He asked me if anything was done to it and I mentioned that there was too much done to list and that the car's past best was 10.3s @ 132+.
Unimpressed the man said, and I ******* quote: "Well, I don't need any of that, its a 350 already and I put a Tornado in it so it does that same thing as your Ram Air" I tried not to let the thoughts in my head show in a look on my face. I said "Well, enjoy the car, it looks great!" and walked away trying my hardest not to laugh.
Part of me wanted to slap him, or shake him to his senses... the other part of me thought I should have laughed in his face and challanged him to a race for a few hundred bucks since he has more cubes than me.
Tornado? Someone actualy bought that ******* thing!
This car/engine has been around for 12+ years! Are you ******* telling me that there are still people who have not gotten the memo? Does he not have the Internet?
Im at a loss.

Wow. Its unreal. I had a guy last night telling me his little 396 nova 4 spd walked on a Z06 from a 3rd gear roll. Now dont get me wrong his car was nice but NO FRIGGIN WAY, especially on street tires. LOL

LOL I love these stories. When I bought my car the guy at the dealership told me it was not only a Formula, but "a Formula 350, which is even rarer". Right, that sets it apart from all the 305 cars they made in NINETEEN NINETY SEVEN!!!

Dude, don't be dissin' on the Tornado ...the TAMS (Tornado Air Management System ) is a proven and worthy modification and will absolutely make any stock (and heavy) Trans Am convertible beat a 500+rwhp heads and cam car.
Ask Kenny H, he knows what I'm talkin' about.

Damn thats pretty amazing that he could be that ignorant. I mean if you're into something you should at least learn about it! What a fool. Makes me feel bad for that car. Give it to someone who actually gives a ****!

douche baggery at its best. they all have Corvette motors in their cars so that makes them fast and nothing to ***** with. (yeah i had a guy tell me this with his stock LS1 98 Trans am).
when my car was stock it was running 13.1's-13.2's...i had some bonehead in another t/a "non" ramair say, "wow, im running just about the same as you are and i dont even have the ramair package...is something wrong with your car??". felt like pimp slapping the snot out of him.

Maybe he did go online and see our discussion with that 17yo kid from EB about 6 years ago about the TAMS. That was a funny *** thread, I wish I could find it but I think it was on LS1/LS2.com lol

I told a buddy my stock 1999 Camaro ran 13.30 stock and he went off on me, telling me to get to a 13.30 it'd take a ton of mods and there is no way in hell I could of ran the number. I showed him my slips and he went as far as to say they probably wernt my slips. There was no reasoning with this guy.

People are funny. Back in 1997 when I had my 94 Z28 w/forged 355 cid, ported heads, P600b with NOS system, I walked into a local taco hut where a lady (the owner) had a TransAm. As I finished ordering, I asked if that was her T/A out in the parking lot. She said yes. I went on to tell her I have the equivalent Chevrolet Z28. She got all offended and said "Well mine has the Corvette engine in it". I just turned and walked away. The conversation was over at that point.

Dude, its simple science really it sends the air into a whirlwind going into your intake, instead of that boring straight air. The only thing that trans-am owner was missing was an electric supercharger.
