Default I just got some horrible news

Do you guys remember the thread about my old camaro selling for $7000 and how upset i was that i couldnt buy it back. Well Ken sold the car to a 24 year old guy from Chicago.

I just got a PM from his friend that he totaled the car last night with his girlfriend in the car and he died! She walked away.

This is a very sad day.

RIP Kevin Socha

Marco

Well the car had a racing harness on the drivers side, i removed the passengers side seat belt for weight purposes. I didn't drive the car on the street.

I don't know all the details except he it the gas going around a turn and hit a guardrail.

This is very sad to hear. Kevin was so happy after he got that car... he was already at the track the first weekend after he took it home, and was making money with it.

Kevin was a very cool guy. When he and his buddy (Doug I believe) drove to PA to pick up the Camaro, we sat around for about an hour at the house and ate some breakfast that I'd whipped up before they got there. He had some hilarious stories. I'm sure that in his circle of friends he will be sorely missed.

Be careful out there guys...

Man, very sad to hear this. Kinda odd how things work. Just one more thing to remind me that life isnt a dress rehearsal. You only get one shot at it.

Sorry to hear, this stuff happens way too often.

About a week or so ago similar thing happened with a local kid I knew. He lost control at 130+ and died, passenger is a good friend of mine and is lucky to be alive.

RIP to both.

Oh I don't doubt it, that was one of the all time great fast LS1 F-body deals.
