Capitol Raceway this Friday July 2nd who's in??? Thinking about going to Capitol Raceway this friday nite after work. Curious of what people think of the track(prep, are the pissy about safety equipment etc)? Is it always packed? How much to run typically?
Hopeing with the low humidity and slightly lower temperatures that some new bests come up even though its not in the best air temps or track. Lets see if we can get some LSX power there so I dont feel out of place.

I cant give you specifics about the track, but Ive run there a few times. To me, its not bad, but others who race more often tend to refer to it as "Crapital". I probably take my car to a track once every other year, and usually go there because its close. THe biggest problem with the track usually has nothing to do with the track, but these people that run their POS and break halfway down the track causing long clean up delays. This has happened to me probably half of the times I have gone there.
Id rate the track as average, there are better tracks and there are worse tracks, but if you wanna go run your car its not a bad place....And Ive gone the friday night before the 4th before and it wasnt crowded at all. Hope its not for you!

I was going to come down Friday nite honestly but they dont have T&T this week. Tomorrow is going to be a kick *** nite for summer to run in no doubt... but the 2.5hour drive there after getting out of work at 5pm and then drive 2.5hours back and get up at 5:30am blows ***!!! And asking alot of the driver and car there!
Hence why I'm going to try Crapitol and maybe get pissed, maybe get booted hell maybe run a 10.9x in the heat at 130mph would be ****!

Crapitol is always packed on Friday night but just imagine this weekend. It's 4th of July weekend, so they are going to be SLAMMED!!!

Horrible track, they dont run the lanes well at all. 5 cars from one 30 from another. The lanes are uphill, so no drifting the car to staging. Not sure about now, but they would make radial cars drive through the water tracking it up to the line. There can be a certain "element" at the track also. Ever see a whole chicken leg served between 2 pieces of white bread? You will there. Dont leave your car unattended.
Tech, I has some dumbass tech me in once when I had Welds on my car, sticking their finger in the end of my lug nuts giving me crap because the lugs didnt extend past the end of the nut. The car ran high 13's.
I used to go there all the time, but just got worse over the years, started going to Cecil instead.
Maybe you can get the car wrapped in a different color and fool them at cecil one more night.

Well if this doesnt work. We're going to wrap my entire car in blue painters tape and take it to cecil. Have a friend tech it in and see what happens from there LMAO! And the sad part is we're not kidding!
