advance auto... doh!

So I ordered a new oil pressure sending unit and the socket for it. Advance auto's website said "yes, this part will fit your 2000 pontiac...." for the socket.

Today, the ups man shows up just as I finish pulling the manifold off. perfect timing. I open it up, marvel at my new sending unit, open up the packaging for the socket only to find........

I'm pretty sure that won't fit.

That sux. I have the correct socket for it. You can actually get a wrench on there i think.

Just install it and a wrench, since your reinstalling the intake, your going to route the Brake Booster line behind it and out of the way. I have gone 4 for 4 on intake removals and not breaking the sensor.

all you need is a 1-1/16" deep thin wall socket, no?

I managed to get an open end wrench on it. Just a total wtf moment yesterday when I pulled everything out of its packaging.

You're in Sykesville? I know NAPA on 26 in Eldersburg has the socket. $8?

Just bought the house here, so I'm still feeling out the area trying to figure out where everything is. Definitely a lot more f bodys up here
