Default Anyone near Montgomery Co have a obd1 scanner?

Will give $20 to read my codes for me.

Pepboys wants like $90. Would be $40 if it was a obd2, such a rip off...could buy a scanner for $140.

Thanks!

Do you have an Autozone up there? They scan them for free. I picked up my OBDII scanner for 80$ at Autozone to. Sounds like a rip off to me!

G/L with finding someone.

Yeah what he ^ said. Just give them your driver's license and they'll let you borrow it for free.

yes, but he needs a OBDI scanner, and most autozone's don't have them, only OBDII.

All Advance Auto's (5), and the Nappa near me have OBD2 readers. Closest Autozone is in either DC or VA.
Car's running fairly rough, not sure if I'd want to drive to VA with it

You can scan obd1 without a scanner, you just take a wire and jump 2 pins where you put the scanner in, and watch the SES light flash on the dash.

Hey Schweet,
Thanks for the link, but all the links/downloads on that page gives me errors, think the owner needs to update the site.
Any chance you have a copy you could email/upload?
I do have a obd1 usb cable laying around some where...

All you need is a paper clip or a small jumper wire.

I do have the file. I also think there is a link as well. Let me try and find it.

Edit: Andy Whittakers website is blocked here at work. But if you google search Free Scan LT1 you should get his site. It can be difficult to navigate through but it is there. Let me know if you have any issues. If you still have problems PM me and ill search for it tonight.
