far from showcar...its just a fireball garage special

its pretty cool what one can do in their 2-car garage with some money, dedication and ALOT of time

should be spraying the rest of the chassis, doors and hatch this weekend and the fenders bumper and hood the following weekend...decided to spray everything individually to get good coverage in all the nooks and crannies...would do everything at the same time if I had a bigger garage

Making good progress

front suspension is in for the final time. Under car bars are painted with the hammered paint. Rear suspension is also back in so the car can once again roll...

Got the inside surfaces of the doors and hatch sanded, masked, and ready for prime and paint...will be doing those tonight. Hope to get the outer sides and car in primer saturday and painted sunday.

Teaser pics...its pewter no more

painted the chassis, doors and hatch sunday...had some problems with all but one door so I wetsanded and reshot them this afternoon...

about 2 hrs after clear...



the modified OEM hatch...filled in all the TA batwing holes

Looks great Brian! I stripped and painted my 72 Camaro in a 2 car garage - good times! Can't wait to see it all back togther...

its pretty nice...getting a full even coverage with that level of metallic is pretty hard though...

I gotta stop down and check it out. Gotta be exciting to have that part of it done and assembly being the next step.

I guess the front clip hasn't been done yet?

haven't done the front yet...still have a little bit of work to do and I wanted the chassis done while the weather was still nice...
