Good catch Marc. the data has one pass where jay was tagged with a zero in the 1/4 so Excel averaged it all.
Here is the fix
Average of 1/4 mi time

Alfred 'Sonnie' Pongonis 9.66
Shawn Cavanagh 9.79 This one should not have counted due to equipment

OK, lets say it will be 9.00 index. Lets discuss the rules.
I'm thinking
GM EFI Motor
GM Body only???? (do you want to race against Fox body cars)
Any power addder
4.00 Pro tree w/ 7 sec auto start
Deep Staging??? (Remember auto start will be on)
Any GM style Transmission
Trans Brake & 2 step Allowed
Muffers required
Full Interior, carpet, ect.
Any tire??? Maybe 30/13.5 max??
No tube or sq. frame cars
No four link cars???
Weight limit??? (like 3,000lb min.)?
Barry races by himself (saftey reasons)
All run field
Pro or Sportsman Ladder???
Lesser breakout advances
Min qualifying ET 9.99???

I don't think it would be necesary to weigh in after every pass, especially for the regulars.

Got to be carefully of the rules you make. People arent gona build the car to just race the quick 8. Also havent seen any 2600lb cars come out and try and race in the qucik 8

I weigh 3250 & run 28/11.50/15's

I would agree to any size radial tire anyway.
I just don't feel a tubed stripped 2600 lb car with 15" slicks is what we want in this class.
