Arrow Tis the Season... Another Z06 driving in the snow!

Well, im sure we all saw the post from a few years ago of zturds old frc driving in a snowstorm with a christmas tree on top of the roof....
Well last friday we had alittle bit of snow, and i took these pics with my phone! the guy was all over the highway, eventually slid off onto the shoulder where there was about 4" of snow... state plow truck drivers pulled over, got out of there trucks and actually pushed him back out into traffic, he made it about 100 yards and then slid back to the shoulder into the deep snow. Here are the 2 shots that i got!

Some ppl only have one car...

Guy should know to get proper tires for those conditions though if he lives in an area with snow. Whenever I see a vette i always say "that sucks". My RWD Colorado is bad enough with it's 5 cyl and 600 lbs of weight sitting over the rear axle, I couldn't imagine driving my SS.

Haha, that was my vette for the past two years (as it was my only car). But I must say, it wasn't bad in the snow... the only hard part was to actually get moving. This guy must have been driving with no tread.

Im in Ct too, and i saw a silver C5 convertible off the side of the road when it just started snowing last friday, we had like 1 in on the ground and the guy lost it.

People are stupid and maybe the guy just got caught in the snow( came down FAST where i live) but i would take this guy driving slow in his vette getting stuck then some other dickheaded ******** i have seen. I was heading home from work ( in my worthless 2wd truck) that day on the highway, only 1 lane was plowed, and everybody was going really slow ( 20mph) with a long line of traffic of course then comes the morons in their 4wd audi's and bmws blowing by all of us, one guy in a suburban blew by us and then slammed the brakes to cut back in, he almost lost it and scared the **** out of traffic both ways, i figured he would slow down after that, nope after getting off he was passing people again

i dont have a vette but if i did it wouldnt go out to play in rain, sleet, snow or high humidity. i always have a pos dd that gets 30+ mpg. like now i have a 99 escort zx-2. i dont know why ppl cant afford a $1500 car when they drive a $40,000 car.

Mikey, I completely agree with you! if he has money to afford that vette, I'm sure he can afford a 1500$ beater!
And Glock, yea that snow came down fast! I work in bridgeport and it started snowing there at 215.... Rt 8 was a parking lot! Took 2hrs to get home that day, normally it takes 35mins! I saw a lot of spin outs and accidents. My buddy who lives in bethel, took him 5hrs to get home from bridgeport!

Should at least put the blizzack tires on that vette and he will be able to drive in that.

high humidity?? lol

a c5z06 is a low $20k car, some in the high teens. Even poor 24 year olds can afford them like myself. But yes i had another car to use in that kind of weather, anyone can get a loan on a c5...

That's ok i saw a guy post pictures of his gsx-r in the snow last week in the snow. That is a little ridiculous.

Considering that last week storm for CT was a Top Ten ALL TIME rated storm, I am not suprise many were caught off guard. Hell even my company some how thought we would all get to work by 10 AM ROFL.

As for the driving, I'd even invest in chains again and a little weight. I dont know how the IRS would like that but it be an option.

My drafting teacher back in High School a few years ago DD his Harley for about 5 years through all weather. I asked him how it was in the snow, he said you just have to take your time. Crazy ****.

I drove my ZX6R in snow a few times. My GTO was down for its cam swap and I hadn't bought a beater yet....its really not that bad if you take it slow and pre empt everything as much as possible. Riding gear is warm too so it wasn't bad at all.

The SS camaro made a much better winter beater though, lol.
