Default LT1 tuning in NE

Guys I need some help. I have a 1996 Formula LT1 and I am looking 4 someone to tune it. I have my own software. Does anyone kno of a shop in New England that tunes LT1's? I live in southern mass and I'm willing to drive a couple if hours 4 a good shop. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I went the mail-order route and it just doesn't work.

What do you have for mods? And who have you tried for a mail order tune?

I'm in the same boat. never found an LT1 tuner yet - 7 years on this site.

If I do I'll post up.

If you have knowledge of your software - maybe find a dyno to use while tuning it yourself???

I think ESP in Sterling, MA tunes LT1's (or has someone they bring in). Nice group of guys over there and I've never had a problem with them. I know in the LSX world they are so-so, but part of that is having one of the best in the market around here but also they tend to work on anything so they aren't as specialized in tuning a particular car. I wouldn't hesitate to give them a call.

Same boat here, been tuning at the track with wideband. Picked up about two tenths and little over 2 MPH last year. Haven't done much this year yet. Had Madz do the mail order stuff, he is good to work with.

If you want to come down to long island I tune LT1's.
What's done to the car?
What issues are you having?

I apprieciate the offer but it's kind of a far drive for me. My biggest problem is part throttle driving. Idles ok, tip-in it good, throttle response is good, and WOT seems good, it's that small percent of cruising 42-55. Also, it would be nice just to have a profession check the car out on a dyno.

Just to get some info for all the LT1/4 guys on here...

1) Does the customer have to provide tunning software for either OBD-1 or OBD-2?

2) Do you do all types of tunning (N/A, supercharged and or turbo)?

3) What is the average price for a "bolt-on" car tune?

4) What is the average price for a mod-heavy car (heads/cam, stroker or forced inductions)?

I'm not looking for concrete prices here, just don't want to make a long trip only to find out my car will need $1000+ dollars in tunning time.

To be honest... I think it would be worth the ride to get a quality detailed tune, seeing as there is just about no options for us LT1/4 guys.

I have all the software to tune everything back to 94 (flash based vehicles) and I'll tune any setup.
Bolt on price is $400 heads/cam, strokers, FI are $575 for most typical setups, if it's more radical it'll be an hourly rate on top of that.

Thankyou for the response.

After I posted last night, I did some searching online regarding your shop and tunning services. I read nothing but praise as to your abilities and customer service, you come highly recomended by many people on many forums.

With any luck, I shall make the 3 hour ride and ferry trip this summer to have you tweak my tune. I will also forward the information to anyone I see asking for LT1 tunning (or tunning in general).

Thanks for supporting the red-headed step child of 4th gens.
