Excel I think the place was called. I canceled since the car wouldn't be ready.

Car sits on 4 wheels once again. Everything is on the rear and just waiting for the right brake line to come in and just need to order my carbon fiber driveshaft.

Been so long hope the ole girl can still dance lol

Driveshaft in. Wheels turn under power now. Not sure on the transmission though. Just seems like the wheels should roll faster with no load on them. Maybe it's just the stall and it's all in my head. Can't take it for a drive till my brake lines get here.

Damn these cars were alot easyer to work on when they were new lol. Thought I'd change out struts and replace the front brake line rotors pad etc. First thing hmm forgot to buy front brake Pads lol.

After that take the strut out to find the top nut has totally rusted away and now more like it was welded on lol. So after buying a spring compressor decided screw it and just buy all new since so much rust on the stock stuff. Gm parts what wasn't discontinued was priced insane. Luckily after searching online for a couple of hrs found Monroe makes the front/ lower strut mount and the coil spring mount all for the same price as one gm strut moun lol.

Still looking I'll have it on the road by march

well drove it around the garage area. Got to get use to the temp reading right lol. It goes to 210 now when its 210 instead of the ole 98 temp gauge.

Exhaust hitting the driveshaft loop not really a problem that cant be fixed. ONly thing is i have a grinding noise in forward and reverse. That i dont know what it is unless it the trans hitting the tunnel but that wouldnt be grind. Its all brand new cept the trans.

Cant tell if its starting in 1st or 2nd though guess i need to log it and see.

Well shes back on the road trimed alittle of the trans tunnel and put a washer under trans crossmember and no more banging grinding. Doing the breakin on the rear but 15 mph i just couldnt go that slow lol. Drove it around normally took it on the freeway and all is well. Even shifts really nice so i might not even load in my altered shift table. Convertor locks up at 55mph in od which is alittle high for my tastes. pulls 1500rpm at 60 mph which is great and just what i wanted it to be at.

After 2years it felt great to get to drive it around again. Have to get use to the laydown driving sytle again lol

Good to be back in the fbody

Been running ok seemed down on power so got around to looking at the tune and spark to find out it's giving way less spark then my stock tune did. So copied over my orig spark tables and went for a drive. She gets up and goes now for sure. Did a total first gear burnout from a stop which it nvr did before the change lol. That and for the first time when I load a program it doesn't start off rich as hell.

Now getting it tuned better Sunday in Gettysburg should be a blast

Haven't posted in awhile. Got the bird in for the bodywork now. Then have to see what I'll do next. I'd like to get rims and tires so I don't have to run these wheel adapters but also want to take care of the slight rust on the underbody before it gets worse.

update got my back tires in today. bfg kdw2 335/30/18s hehe. Got 295s for the front but there back ordered till the end of sept:/. My rims are ordered and being made^^. Going 18x10 in the fromt and 18x12 in the back.

Went with Boyd Harm style rims. looking like a 5 5/8 backspace for the rear which should bring me flush with the outside fender well and the sidewall. bfg got a 13.5in section width on them.

Fronts going with a +45mm offset but i havent ran the numbers yet. 295s are 11.9in wide on a 10in rim so they should be a tad smaller on a 10in.

Hoping itll all be done by the fall ocmd .

After this its engine time

Got them test fitted today. Rears the bumpstops need to be taken out and banged on a bit but i dont have to minitub it^^. Fronts fit perfect cept when turning the outside wheel hits the bumper. So just need to cut alittle plastic and its good. Wish i got the rears but didnt even think to take a pic .

295s fit no problem. I bet i could of got 315s on with little problem as well. That being said if the tires were a inch taller they would hit the upper control arm with 295s. Using 26.2 diameter wheels

The back just stick out of the fender alittle bit must have been of a 1/8th on the measuring. there big meats on the back. Even the guy thats doing to work didnt think they would fit
