Update on the transam
#44
Well there little rub is pretty good so need to bang or cut more of the hump out where the spring is on the top. Other side I banged I. With a hammer pretty good and just barely touches now. Don't know why it rubs more on the drivers since I had to move the rear that way to center it....

Exhaust install update....Pass side header doesn't fit and hits the trans and floor. I think if I can "bend the collectors down everything will go into place but I want to see what kooks says before I do. If I have to send them back and have another one sent itll be weeks. I wouldnt like that very much. Still have to take measurements for the torque arm crossmember yet and cant do that till the header is in -.-. So at a stand still.
Heres some pics tell me what you think
PS the headers look nice under there even if the one don't fit lol

Ok well contacted kooks and they said for a 4l80 I need to cut the ear flush and trim the bell housing so it's flush with the engine block. Also need to reroute the trans lines so it not under the heat shield cause its really tight fit in that area.

Full exhaust is in and man does it sound good. Surprisingly the torque arm cross member didn't need that much work.
It's pretty close to the 4l80e but not touching.
The torque arm mount. All they did was put some tube steel to bring the crossmember down more and put the torque arm up another hole in the connection point. It is hitting but I think I can move it up some more by adjusting the other pipes.
Here it is going over the Mwc fab 9 and watts link. Drove it into work and checked the rear for marks. I couldn't see and so looks like its good there
Here's what it looks out the back. Need to adjust the left tip but loving the look. At idle its not to loud at all. When you give the motor load or give it hell sounds just like the old muscle cars going down the drag strip
Very happy how this turned out and now it's time to just have some fun with it till the engine goes then more power

Got the exhaust all adjusted have a finger between the exhaust and the cross member now. Flipped the pass side hanger cause it was really close to some sheet metal and that brought it away nicely. Think the bracket was installed wrong cause it pulled it that way so just turned it around no problems. Also raised the drivers side tip so theres no droop.
Kooks is the way to go in my eyes.
