Default Detailing: 2008 Porsche Carrera 4S

Been a bit slow for my friend and I with vacation and such… My friend and I have been looking forward to detailing this car since we booked it, and it didn’t disappoint, and a great car to get back into the swing of things!

But, how could a 2008 Porsche Carrera 4S disappoint anyways?!?!? And it’s even harder when the owner lets you deliver it back to his house!!!

The gentleman who owns this car uses it as a daily driver all year round and it has seen a New England winter or two. He contacted us after seeing some of our other work sitting in the parking lot at work and word of mouth and desired a full exterior correction and the interior brought back to life.

Overall the car was in decent shape and the black much like the Black BMW X3 we did early this year, hid it’s imperfections well until it got under the lights, then it needed lots of love. The interior was not in terrible shape it just needed a good vacuum and wipe down but the seats were in dire need of cleaning and dressing to return the black finish.

After 24man hours the outcome is a 9.5/10, front clip does need some paint and the 3m side pieces could use replacement, besides those few items we were beyond pleased with the results, car looks soaking wet when there isn’t a drop of water to be seen J

Lots of pics and I hope you enjoy!!!

We gave this car the extra attention. I worked on just correcting the hood for over 3 hrs to get it just right.

Great car to work on! Driving it after was the icing on the cake.
We both loved it.

The 85RD micro polish made a difference on this black.

Also curious on the price and how long it took.

Where in central mass are you? Where do you work on the cars you take in.

We are from Winchendon Ma, All the work is done at my friends house in his 2 car garage. This car took roughly 12 hrs with the 2 of us working, usually we do them in 8-10 for a full correction/interior.

Regarding pricing and things of the sort I will answer that by quoting myself
https://ls1tech.com/forums/14895438-post10.html

You see we are both car guys, both have desk jobs, this breaks the monotony and we really have a passion for doing it. In a years time we do under a couple dozens cars, so its really a limited few we can feasibly do while still maintaining other responsibilities and staying married lol.

So its really a hobby for us and all the cars we do are friends/family/word of mouth, I love sharing results and just brushing up on the topic in general when I can. We've done cars from people on this board and even have them pitch in.

Damn guys, another great job! Tom never even washed that car during the winter either.... went through some pretty rough winter conditions with his winter tire package on it too. Now if I can only get him into the autocross...
