BS. My brother got a Evo 9 for 17 and it was a MR. he only had it 3 months before he totalled it but that was HIS fault.

stock for stock id take the Legacy. Now if you plan on modding and going FAST... EVO HANDS DOWN ALL DAY EVERYDAY. A good cam and bolt ons with a evo9 and you can see 400whp and be VEYR VERY quick.

you a bigger or smaller guy? I am 6'3 and at 270ish i was not comfortable. My shoulders are too wide and tummy too big...

Nice cars but id rather get a G35 coupe or a G35x sedan. More room and luxury.

your all good. Just a small cabin. especially shoulder room.

The 3.5 VQ is a strong motor. Only issue i remember hearing was soemthing design wise bad with the rear suspension made it eat tires. Probably fixed after first or second production year. Never looked into it fully.

One of the best dds I've owned was my s4. Plently of power (ran 12s with boltons chipped ecu) room, very nice comfy ride, awd and you can find them priced pretty reasonably if you look around. I just sold my Powerstroke so I'm looking into getting a newer crew cab diesel or another Audi for a dd.

I'd be waaaaaay hesitant to own an Audi out of warranty though.

Front suspension. I believe it was the first 2-3 years of the Z, don't think the G35 coupe had the same problem.

Ex CAR... LOL its is now in CAli. Guy flew out and drove it home. Blew out 5th gear somehow.

Pretty sure its not running a STI 6speed.

Now the CTS-V gets its turn. the V is as fast as the legacy was and its just Intake and catback. Once the headers/cam go on it should be NICE as well.

Eh yeah there are alot of stories and people have had some really bad luck but thats pretty much with any type of car. I've owned 3 with 0 issues. Its all about how it was treated and maintained. The only main thing with the s4's are the turbos and you have to pull the engine to replace them, you can usually get lucky and find one where they have already been replaced or upgraded. My 00 s4 I had a few years ago had 140k on it spiking 21lbs on the stock turbos and it had been that way for years and is still running the stock turbos to this day. A stage 3 s4 is a really strong car on the street and you can ****** up a really nice one for anywhere from 10k-14k and have yourself one hell of a DD and as long as you keep up on it and take care of it, it'll run a long time with no issues. Now if your racing it or taking it to the track all the time broken parts are inevitable.

I have a few friends with modded S4s... some well beyond stage 3... One was running some RS4 or RS6 turbos from europe and making 700+ whp. But his car has spent months or years in the shop as different things broke. Dont want to knwo what he spent.

THe other was 500hp and similar. WHen he and his wife split he gave her the other car because it was reliable where as his S4 was always breaking down.

Yeah once you get into those power levels your talking built motor etc... your going to have problems and ***** gonna break. I had a 420awhp s4 (stock motor) that I dd'ed and raced from time to time for about 2 years and did nothing but change the oil and plugs before I sold it. But then again I always seem to have really good luck when it comes to vehicles
