Could use some help regarding future mods.
My buddy is trying to convince me to go turbo instead. He has a 98 M3 that he turbo'd and was putting down about 525rwhp before his latest round of upgrades, it was dyno'd so it's a no b.s.. number. He put it together himself. The turbo option would obviously be a budget type build.
I'm wondering if i'm going to be happy with a torque monster for the streets or the addiction of boost. I'll say that the car will probably never see the track and it's mostly going to be a fun summer car just driving around town. So really what I'm asking is two things 1) everyone's thoughts and 2) anyone in the Western Mass area that has done either of these types of mods ever get together so I can check out your cars and see if it will help me decide? Thanks.
IMO with ANY Force Induction (including Nitrous); milage of the motor should be taken into consideration. It really all depends how that previous milage was applied with dictate future results. I would think compression/leakdown test at min, to see where the motor is at.
I would simply enjoy the car, add mods that either can be resold (a good quality header for example) or can be used with a possible future FI setup. The LS6 is a good investment that can be resold very easy if you had to, as well as a Lid.
Where are you in W Mass? I'm in Chicopee.
As for parts, what to do with the car, there's a million choices. If you're ever in the central T area feel free to shoot me a PM, I'm usually around.
I'm actually in Chicopee as well. Keep the comments coming I'm appreciating it. I may have to post this in the FI section as well and get their comments. lol

I'd stay away from any power adders- if u r never going to the track I'd just stick with the basic bolt on stuff-lid, headers, exhaust, nice electric cutout like QTP makes.
Save up for a short block with less miles maybe.
