Default I hate my vig stall....

Sad to say but I liked my tci 3500 better than my vig 4k.... Doesnt flash like it should. Ran a buddy of mines car sat and that car launched 10 times harder than mine.... Done with it! Anyone have a tci 4000 or higher stall they wanna get rid of?

My old TCI 3500 launched great, I still got it in a box.
I'm surprised the Vig doesn't meet your needs, those converters typically work out well off the line. The converter I got now doesn't 60' at all, I'll get a yank or circle D though, hopefully by next year.

TCI's don't seem as efficient up top to me, but they are decent at multiplying torque.

He drove my car-mods in sig

I drove his. Whoever tuned that car should be shot. Its the tune-stall is fine. Car bogs, stalls out and at WOT shifts at about 5900-6000 grand which is too low etc... I am going to talk to Rel3rd about helping him. Bob did a trans tune on my car and its much better. Justin said he would help Randy as well and agreed the tune is the culprit not the stall.
Only bad mod on that is the throttle body-once running right it will wax my car. That car once moving runs very well.

Hey Randy..Sorry about the Vig not working for you...I've used them exclusively in my builds since 1996 and they always worked great for me...My old car had a 4000 when I sold it and it would jump out of its own skin if it could...its got a 4400 in it now and carries the fronts 1 foot off the ground for 30-40' out...Sounds like the tuner has something to be desired. just my .02...

Torque converters are hit or miss, every car will react to them differently. What works for one may no work for another

This has been my findings as well.

I have a Vigilante in both of my cars and they perform quite well, though the 3200 in my Corvette doesn't seem to stall quite as high as I believe it should.

Did you buy it new?
I assume they still have the free re-stall option if tuning isn't the culprit?

<<---My Vig 3600 stall did this all day long, anywhere it was raced at...

If what Mike said above is true (bogging, stalling, short shifting) then you need to address those issues with whomever tuned the car, before condemning the converter IMHO.
