Default Crashed the Car

After 10 years with my car I’m sad to say I may have totaled it. I was on the parkway after it rained and i guess there was a slick spot and the car was all over the place like if I was on ice. it finally finished head on with the wall. this after for the first time in 10 years it was running the way it should. It was looking like that 11 second pass was within reach and then this bs happens. I'd post pics but it hurts just looking at the car.

The front is smashed up, the chassis on the passenger side is a little bent, windshield is cracked, dash is done since both airbags came out and the center console popped up but not sure if it damaged or just came up from the impact. On the bright side the radiator is not cracked and the car still runs.

I don’t know if I should fix it, buy a roller and swap parts or part it out. I’m sure some of you guys have been through this before. Any suggestions?

don't have full coverage on the car and my car is faster than a c5 z06. not only would i have to spend a big chunk to get the z06 i'd then have to spend even more modding it to be as fast as my old car.

I hope you're alright? I have a roller but it's probably too far for you to travel. I'm open to offers if you're interested. https://ls1tech.com/forums/eastern-c...am-roller.html

Unhappy

So sorry to hear it.
I too agree that you should buy a shell and rebuild.

Sorry to hear that. If you can I would definitely swap everything into a new car, but don't put the cart before the horse, let insurance look at it first.

If you do end up going for a roller a guy put one up for sale cheap on NEFBA:

Can you swap an LT1 into an LS1 car? That would be nice way of keeping your parts and getting a different look.

You can do it but it's tricky. A guy on NEFBA has a 396 LT1 in a '98 Firebird, but he did the LS1 computer/coil pack conversion from EFI connections. Personally I think the LT1 SS is the best looking 4th gen Camaro though.
