I Guess I'm the only one partial to F1 blowers. Mine has served me well, makes great power and is only an F1-A.

It's not a question of not liking them.
Question is can you run fast enough with it to race the 8.5 index on the LSX platform with nothing more then a back half chassis?

Name 6 cars since 1997 capable of this with the equivelant of an F1 and I'll change my mind.

1) Ronnie Dukes T/A from back in 2005 is one. (7.9x) 1st lsx car in the 7's.

I'll give you a jingle.

If you are shooting for 1000+ HP I think you will regret going with a S/C.

A turbo is more front-end work but once you get through the initial growing pains (wastegate shiznit, boost control, etc...) it is alot easier to make high HP consistently.

I can only think of a couple YSI, F1R or Novis that make 1000 RWHP on the dyno. Not that folks haven't done it, but I'm on someones dyno every weekend, and I don't see it.

Off the top of my head, I can think of a healthy collection of 1000+ HP turbo cars.

Go turbo.

I ran an F1 back in 2003, I just would chosse the YSI over the F1-C or D because of the cooler intake charge....

You read wrong. Tranny is a VIRGIN. Never been apart, disassembled or looked at. It got a converter, that is it.

It's all in the tune.

I must of because the owner last year and Ted told me personally that it was "checked" over. Must of took it wrong when told the clutch clearances were checked ect. Doesn't matter though. These new Gen 5's are pigs.

Is that without intercoolers? We just did a F1-D last year that ran pretty cool under boost. 14lbs hit 105 degree's on a 65 degree day on the dyno. Then with the methenol on it dropped to 80 degree's. Seemed more efficient than a D1.

Rick, i loved that car, i drove it all over the place, it was just SICK to drive on the street, it would just melt the slicks when comanded...and i raced it at etown once and the boost gave me a huge grin when i went through the traps...it was awesome...
I cant wait to see what this new car becomes....
