sounds like you just need some drag radials. my car went 13.2 with those gears and no ls6 intake. I had a 2.0 60ft. Also have to consider the DA, what was it when you ran? i shitty DA can kill your times. my 13.2 came on a day with a low DA, did it twice. Went back, fastest i could get was a 13.3 because the DA was so high. 13.3-13.5 all day.

i THINK the DA was around 1700 the day i ran the 13.3 although I can't remember for sure. I'm installing the gears before the stall just because its cheaper, thoughts on getting sub 13 with 3.73's?

In response to your original question:

The guy who tunes most GMs at ESP is a friend of mine who works on my car

The guy who owns Kaizen is a friend of mine, I baselined my car there before we started working on it and plan to tune there when it is reassembled

I'm familiar with both places.
(FYI posting non sponsor vendors is gonna get the mod gods on your butt.)

No disrespect to you or your friends, I know everyones got opinions and I know the above places have done quality work on lots of different cars and some not so much. But if you own a LS car in this area and don't go to slowhawk its not in the best hands. I've experienced and seen enough over the last 10+ yrs to stand by this claim without going into details. The main difference is neither specializes in LS cars.

To the OP or anybody else in the same boat, go wherever you like, but do yourself a favor, do your homework and ask the right questions.

I know the owner of Kaizon too. We built his Corvette for him. We've also tuned cars for them that there inhouse tuner couldn't figure out. Not a big deal. Alot of these shops can tune a stock car with a lid and headers. What catches them is cars built more than that.

Sad part is the car owners just settle with the way the car runs and figure that is how it's suppose to run. If a shop was serious here in the NE they would sponsor boards like this.

Scott said that you and he go back quite aways. I was not implying that ESP or Kaizen would do a better job than you, just answering the man's question about dyno tune shops in NE.

I know. There was no hard feelings towards you or anything. Those 2 shops can throw a tune into these cars along with about 4 other shops in the area. Some will just copy a tune from one of my cars and send the guy on the way.

Good enough; not looking to ruffle any feathers here so I am glad I didn't. Next time I'm down your way I'll swing by and say hello to you guys; looks like you have quite an operation.

Thanks for the heads-up; not my intent so I'll keep that in mind in the future.

I'll stick with slowhawk as he is tried and true here on the boards. I'm not exactly sure what raceweight was, but spare and jack are out. 315's on the rear. I weigh 160. car was between 1/4 and 1/4 full of gas. I'm assuming it was around 3500.

Since i've taken out the A/C and rear seats so maybe save 40 pounds? I know I didn't get the 60 from the A/C that some guys say they get, but I can't see anything else to remove haha
