Hey Hampton Roads. What's up?
Hey everybody. Been a long time since I've seen a hampton roads thread. Ofcourse I've been out of the game for awhile. Car has been sown almost a year after a fun track night with 400rwhp a 4000 stall 4.10s sticky tires and a 10 bolt. Waiting on Afew more parts so I can slap it all back together. Check in so we can see who is around, old heads, new heads and what's everybody doin and driven!!!-Darren

I remember when I got back from Iraq in 09 when I lived in Hampton bass pro was dead cause of new **** management or something. Still an issue?

My wife's is solid black, cammed, most the bolt-ons short of a FAST, and my little Sunset Orange disaster is heads/cam/stall/trans/gears/suspension lol.

Im an LS1 newb and LS1TECH newb that lives in Newport News. I just got my car rod worthy and am trying to find some local people. I have a long way to go with my car.
I have a 99 TA M6. It sat in my neighbors yard for two years before I rescued it. It has been a lot of work. Some local help and info would be great!
Hit me up ladies and gents! Good to see a thread for our local area!!

Well, like I said.... she is a rescue. My neighbor neglected the car for a couple years. So far i am trying to work my way from the ground up. I Bought new wheels and tires, bilstien HDs, bushings, ball joints, slave cyl, clutch, flywheel, just did a refresh on the stock 10 bolt for now. Only motor work is new plugs battery and air filter. Just bought a new passenger front wheel hub assy, alternator and window motors. Car has no carpet and alot of rust to deal with under the car. Nothing really bad on the body. As of this week the car is road worthy and can be driven, but it needs a lot more TLC. The motor runs smooth but has high miles 145k. My buddy is selling me his LS6 block out of his Z06 since he just built a monster. I am going to order pacesetter LTs, ORY, and SLP lm2 this weekend....... hope to install it on this motor and just run it until it gives up. I will have the other block to rebuild. I am in a constant state of learning, i love this car and have always wanted to have one. It has been fun refreshing this car and saving it from its muddy grave. I just hope the wife lets me finish what i started, not that a project can ever be finished
As for myself..... I am just a shipyard worker who enjoys cars. I have had many many different vehicles in my short time, but i have to say that this is prolly the last project. I am just glad to see some local folks on the boards here. I hope that I can legally have my car on the road so I can start making some friends. I am always open to a learning experience. If anyone ever wants to meet i would love to put some faces to names.... but i might not have the car with me for the first couple months.

I have driven mine a total of 7 miles since i bought it in sept of 2011. I am so excited to be this close to a drivable fun car. I see a couple other F-body cars running around, but haven't really approached anyone yet.

Hey cool a Hampton Roads thread. I'm out towards Smithfield. Working on an LS2 (with LS3 heads), T56 Magnum into an 86 Monte SS.
Anyone have access to a lathe, or even (wishful thinking) a waterjet? I have some brackets I need cut out of aluminum & some spacers to go along with it.
