Default New Best 9.9@139 with video to follow--video is up

So I went to a track rental today at atco. I had just run 2 passes last week that were 10.1 so I figured I would have a good starting point for today. Boy was I wrong. I was launching last week at 6000rpm and pulling real low 1.4 60ft times and a 1.38 if I tried doing that today I blew the tires off so I had to try a bunch of different rpm's to launch from.None of my 60ft's felt like the great launch that you know your going to run something good but you gotta take what you can get. Here's the breakdown of my 4 passes that were in th 9's I had 2 other passes that should have been in the 9's bcause the 60ft's were 1.43 and 1.45 but my hydrolics didn't like being hot lapped and I couldn't get the gear. That's what I get for hot lapping the car.
9.93@136 with a 1.41 60ft(they didn't get that one on video)
9.95@138 with a 1.46 60ft
9.97@138 with a 1.45 60ft
9.96@139 with a 1.50 60ft

I should have video up soon.

Thanks man, sucks that I had to scrapp 2 or 3 runs cause my car wouldn't go into gear. But I was hot lapping it pretty hard.2 of my 9 second runs were only 10 min apart and I never shut the car off and I kept going so my fluid was getting hot for my master, at the end I had to pump my pedal just to get it in gear. I was trying to make up for all the time I ate up checking plugs and changing plugs. But next time I know it's safe . Your car was flying with that 9.7@142mph!!!! with a 1.403 60ft. on the back tires. Maybe I should spray out of the hole instead of using the delay...LOL

not really a new setup. My main change is a forged bottom end 347. I still used my old ARE 241 heads and the same cam that slowhawk picked out for me way back and a Tony Mamo ported Fast 102 and a nitro daves 2 stage 102 plate. I don't have it set up to run 2 stages so it smacks the 2 at the same time.If I had the extra money I would get a progressive kit or another controller so I could smack it with 75-100 shot out of the hole then ease the rest in but I'm broke as a joke and don't want to break my tranny so I spray with a delay and pray I don't break any thing. I gained pretty much nothing going to a forged bottom end cause it still put down the same numbers but I guess it will live longer than the stock bottom end. My big goof all this time is that my timing tuner was set up to shut the nos off at 6,700 rpm.It has been that way since 2004 when I put it in the car. I never recheck it.So way back with the stock bottom end when was still in my car and was in a GMHT mag and a couple years later on pinks I should have been going alot faster than what I was.I took another look at it this year and set it not to shut off till I push in the clutch and second time out I run 9's..Such a silly oversite

I know, my pass from black Friday were I pulled a 1.38 60ft felt the best to me and that was only a 10.1 pass. I was running 9's making mistakes and not having the best 60ft.But for not being in the seat of the car since 2008 and running 9.9's second time out this year is a pretty good start.Getting ready to make the swap to change to a slipper clutch. That clutch has some big shoes to fill but from what everyone is telling me and from what I'm reading I should have another new best when that change is done.
