Unhappy Sad News

On July 4th we lost a great friend whom many on here knew. Steve (Stevo92z28) was out for a ride on his motorcycle doing what he loved when he was involved in a fatal accident. His love for cars and bikes was an integral part of his life and one that he bestowed to me through our 7 years together. For all that knew him I encourage you to attend his service on Saturday, July 13th at Demaine Funeral Home in Springfield, VA. We are organizing a ride/cruise the the service and I know Steve would be honored to have as many badass cars and great people get together in his name. Please PM me for more information. I will keep things updated here with cruise location and time as it develops.

With a heavy heart,
Joley

Now that I think about it, I believe I met Steve @ MIR a couple years ago.

Did he own a Silver C5?

Yes he did and you did meet. He loved watching your car at the track. It was always one of his favorites. He'd sold the Z06 to buy a house about 3 years ago and was since sporting a cyber grey z28, which had just gotten some upgrades. The only comfort I can find is that he died doing what he loved.

OMG so sad to hear this, I didn't know Steve personally but along with so many others, we'd also been interacting/posting on the various boards together for YEARS now.
My sincerest condolences to you Joley, his family and friends.

Thank you Dustin for posting that link. I wanted to give updated information about the ride. We are meeting at noon at Astoria Pizza in Woodbridge, VA and will depart for the service in Springfield about 1:10. I would love for as many awesome cars and people as possible to be there. Some people are only eating pizza (Steve's favorite food) and cruising and not attending the service and that's absolutely fine. Please let me know if you are coming.
