1998 WS6 Detailing?
I haven't been on this forum for years but was hoping I could get some assistance. I still have my 1998 Trans Am WS6 that I bought new. The paint is mostly original (a couple of touch-up areas) and has been garage kept for quite a while. There are a ton of swirl marks in the paint and I was wondering if there are any good detail shops in the South Jersey area that could do a good clay bar, compound, wax etc.? I might try to do it all myself but I don't really have the time and would rather let a more experienced person handle it.
Any assistance greatly appreciated.
Unfortunately I don't know anybody out that way.
After you clay the car you will want a DA and a couple pads to do the work for you. I always recommend the porter cable 7424xp for a beginner, get some 5" med/light cut pads and if you like Maguire's you can probably pickup some M105/M205 locally. A wipe down to get the oils out after, then whatever last step process you like, sealing/wax etc.
There are lots of videos online using the porter cable, its about as fool proof as you can get.
