Default Trying to find my 98 z28

Hey everyone,

I'm trying to find my 1998 red z28 vin #2G1FP22GXW2104717.
It wasnt anything special, just a t-top A4 car w/ cloth seats and a black sail panel/mirrors. I made the mistake of trading it in to Stapleford's Chevrolet in St Georges, DE in 2006.
If anyone has any info on the car or a suggestion on how to track it down, i would greatly appreciate it.

If you run a carfax on it, that would at least tell you the last place it was registered.

Carfax will tell you where it was last registered or currently registered. I've been trying to track my old 2010 Camaro SS down for a year and a half without going crazy over tracking down. It's registered in a town about 5 miles away and I haven't actually seen it in a year and a half since it was on the car dealers lot that I traded in to. I recently found a car that matches the color combo exterior and interior of my old car in that town just driving down the road, but I don't want to be a creep and walk up and see if the vin is it especially if it's somehow just a twin to my old car that happens to reside in that town also, lol. I wish you luck in your search.

Wow, thank you. Not really the outcome that I was hoping for though... Is there any way to figure out who salvaged it? Do you guys think carfax would have more info?

Maybe try to pull the accident report if still available, you have the location and case number. Should be public information.

If it was salvaged in 2008 it has already been picked over more than likely. Sorry man.

I would love (or maybe not) to know where my beloved 2000 Z28 M6 t-top is . I had to sell it due to personal issues in April 2008. It broke my heart. I just need to find the VIN .

Your insurance company should be able to find the VIN in their records.
