Default EFA points cup/series started

Guys, I just figured I passs the word along to everyone up and down the east coast. But, we are doing a little points cup over on EFA this year. This is for 93+ Fbodies of coarse like always. We have 3 shootouts setup for 05. Ones April 2nd, the other is July 23rd, and last but not least Oct 1st

The rules are simple and all the info is over on our site...

We hope this turns out pretty good because if it does, then next year we can make everything bigger/better

http://www.fbodycentral.com/forum/

thanks for your time

also, we will be looking for sponsors whom wanna help with prizes for the points champ in all 7 classes(SI LT1, SI LS1, Mod LS1, Mod LT1, Mod PA, Outlaw, and brackets)

no minium weights... it was addressed, but we just dont like seeing people have to add weight to run a class. If you have the carpet in the car and no bare metal showing then you are good to go. If someone invested cash on lightweight parts, then more power to them. May the quicker car win

most of the guys/gals in that class will be in the 3300-3500 range though.. 11.6-12.2's roughly also

that class and the mod street na class are the biggest classes... I think he had about 30+ cars running the SI class one year

hope to see you there

prices and payouts may not be to big for every event this year around but we just want to get some attention going towards this so it can grow hopefully.

that weight and ET is where I'll be, plus a pro tree is good for a couple tenths against a faster car. Only thing that blows is our tracks dont open til April so mostly likely this will be my test and tune session. If I dont make it in time for april, July is around the corner also. But looks like it would be a ton of fun to run in SI and brackets.

Hope some of the Mass guys wanna convoy down too, should be a great time, especially to put faces with names

i know a bunch of the east side boys use to come down and play, but i dunno what happened to them over the past year or so

if all works out this year, hopefully we can get a few different tracks next year to mix them up a little. Only good thing about the same track is that they know what we will be doing everytime

should be a fun year

Its been tossed around... The brackets and etc are open to all since some of us have familes and like to race the beaters of coarse. But you have to atleast ask to run that class if you have something other than a 4th gen.

But, we were founded on 93+ firebirds and camaros, so we would like to stick to that for now anyway for the main classes. Unless attendence drops off for the 4th gens im sure it might get considered more. But, at the past events we had roughly 90-120 4th gens racing Not bad for a 4 hour event.... wish we could get a track for all day though then we could do QUITE a few more classes. A drag radial class would be fun lol

Don't know if it has ever been talked about but one track...with....Tech and EFA....both groups equals a huge turn out...Not talking about Tech vs EFA I am talking about people who want to race putting their heads together and making something happen...I know the tech series is in it's infancy stages and alot of the bugs are being worked out but I think people are getting too wrapped up in the (rules before the race)...Think about it no cars = NO RACE ...Let's set a broad spectrum to try to get a great turn out...
I do like the 93+ up F/Body thing....Worry about finalizing all the rules when you know u can draw enough cars to create a field....IMO!

98TAauto-look forward to shootin back down to MIR this year...It's a good time!!!

Sean, I know its a haul for ya'll but MIR usually has the track biting and looking great! I talked to them about a full day rental(LS1TECH type shootout) but they want big money for that. The stands would need to be packed and so forth. Our lil club just doesnt have the cash to risk a full day event and then loose out.

Cecil and Capitol may like the idea, but I dont know anyone from those 2 tracks to get in touch with. But everyone's to money hungry for track rentals. I know they have to make a living also, but most tracks wanna know they will pack the grandstands.

Ill post the event again when it gets closer.. everyone has plenty time to mod and plan for the date so hopefully we can get a good turnout once again.

Hopefully we can also get some NICE payouts to make it worth the while for guys that have to drive day and night to get here

js, at this event, i believe it is brackets, so the LW mod may not help, its going to be consistancy that wins it. i may be wrong tho. i just throw a low # on my window and try to beat it!!
