Chef, if you get a tranny and take it apart to rebuild it, lemme know... I'd be intrested in seeing how that goes... as mine will eventually need it too.

I got some one that works at a tranny shop that does them cheap on the side. I gave him my tranny on a wednesday night, he tore it down right there and told me what I had to order, called thursady and had the parts next day, Friday night dropped the parts off and picked up the tranny sat. at 9:30 complete. Replaced with billet slider keys, new carbon blocker rings, steel shift fork. Tranny is holding up very well. It's the damn slider keys that break and cause a chain reaction in the tranny.

Come on man..... I'm gonna keep shift'n until I see a trap speed that warrants a good second or so faster than I'm getting.
No to mention how much **** I wanna get done before I have to worry about that kind of power.. swapping in the auto is a lifetime away.

JL i say you will be going the way of the th400 at some point

for a street car i like the M6 but for the track its hard to beat the autos although i like shifting a car the feeling just isnt the same with a auto

seeing as my car is gonna always be a street car that will take a few adventures off to the drag strip a couple times a year... I'm gonna make every attempt to keep the 6 speed in it.

Someday... if I ever decide to build a car for track use only, it's gonna be an auto, th400, glide, or if I really get serious, a clutchless lenco. But.. I don't see that happening anytime soon.
