I remember talking to you about them almost a year ago at ESP. You weren't a huge fan of them back then either.

I like them. I'd love an 05 for a DD. Nice engine, nice brakes, nice interior, and nice ride. I think there's some things that could be done for the looks, but they're not bad as is, especially if you don't want to stand out a lot.

Agree'd
Not a bad all around Daily driver I would agree.
Just they are so close why not put it in a deserving chassis and have a real car...! Much better than the previous car just deserves its own look...
Not a Grand am style hood and same old ugly wheels...Exhaust is nice though.

I think the 05 GTO's are awesome. Sure it could look a little more exotic but I see it more of a daily driver anyhow. The seats are really nice, the interior is a step in the right direction for GM and the engine is a perfect base.

An automatic 05 GTO with a stall, headers and a h/c setup would be the ultimate daily driver.

EPA mileage estimates**
6.0L automatic: 16/21 (city/highway mpg)

That's the only thing that kills me. The car stock would get that much with a normal footed driver never mind one of us, then add the stall, headers, h/c setup and I might as well spend more money on the Camaro and get a Civic hybrid to buzz around every day. If I got one and kept it stock it would nice but what are the odds of that.

Ohhh I forgot, your one of "those" people.

I see every car as a daily driver, I don't worry about any of that rain, snow or whatever. I don't mind driving them as long as I have a garage to do the detailing in. If I was in the $$$ posistion to think otherwise I probaly would but it's not too big of a deal for me.

I think they look a lot better than last year. Between the ramair hood and the exhaust change, it might be growing on me. 400 horses is nothing to sneeze either.
