No, its above freezing out. You know the leading cause of drowning in NH is snowmobiles? All the people that go crashing through the ice cause it isn't sturdy enough.

The ice is going pretty quick but alot of snomobiles are still playing out there. Although, if you hit an open patch of water on a machine at 50+ your fine. Do that on a four wheeler and you'll get to go for a swim. Most of the trails are bare so the snow on the tracks is probrably gone too. Took my truck out four wheeling alittle today and alot of the logging roads and stuff are bare and muddy too.

Take my ex out on the lake, no let her go out by herself & test it for you 1st.
If she sinks, don't go & I won't cry that she sunk.

LOL funny you say that. My buddy lost his in a pond yesterday. I went by cranking a wheelie, look over and I see him standing there soaking wet looking at the thing half through the ice.

I would say you've got a decent chance of going swimming. He got lucky, we just used a truck to pull it out. It's been in the mid 40s all week with the sun out up here hasn't it?

Northern Maine (Rangely area) lakes should still be safe, as well as Island Pond, Vt. area lakes... WJ

Some guy had his F-150 out on the ice Saturday afternoon.

Then again, it's only a Ford so who cares.

They are still riding on the lakes out here in Central MA. They are starting to open up where there is flow, but sleds need not worry. I rode mine on water all the time. After this week though, you'd be pushing it. I know up in Milo Maine - you can ride those lakes for another couple of weeks (if you can deal with the slush on top of the ice).

It's been real warm all week up here in Vermont, too. I personally would not go out on Island Pond right now. Even Lake Willoughby has opened up considerably.
