Question Help finding an LS1

I've just now noticed that there is forums for regions and decided to drop in. I live in PA, just out of Philly and I was wondering if you guys know any good sites or anything that I can use to find me a car.

I've already tried www.autotrader.com www.autoshopper.com and www.cars.com, yes alot of Z28's and WS6's show up but not in my price range. My dad is willing to buy me a car since I'm starting college soon and need a more reliable car to travel back in forth. Even though I'm going to be using it as a daily driver I also want a nice car with power that I can also work on. He's willing to spend around $7,000 to $9,000 or a decent car. Now I know there's no such thing as a LS1 T/A for around that price but I've seen some LS1 Camaro's around there but none close enough to me.

If you guys have any suggestions or sites that I can use, please let me know.

Thanks

LS1 in that price range would most likely have high miles or need something done to it...finding a lower mileage LT1 would be alot easier. I've owned both and they both have there perks.

I think you're a little too far away for me there. But thank you very much for the offer.

I've also been looking for LT1's too but I wouldn't mind grabbing an 98+ Camaro with somewhere around 70-100K miles on it. I have found 2 or 3 LT1's and I do like them but I really love the 98+ f-body styles they look so much more meaner.

There was a '00 Z28 with only 16K miles on it going for $7,999 in NJ, it was posted in December of last year and I just saw this yesterday and called about it and of course it was sold and there wasn't anything wrong with it or anything... the reason for the low price, it was a South Carolina Patrol car. They are supposed to be getting another Silver one in soon for the same price, I'm going to keep my eye out for that.

Do you guys know of any other Classified sites or anything where I can search in my area?

Eh, I think that's a little too many miles for me. There are are 2 LS1's around here that have 80-90K miles around here for the same price I'm just wondering if there are any other sites or dealers within the DE, PA, NJ area that sell muscle type cars.

$8,995

8-cyl, 6-spd, ps, ABS pb, air, only 87,814 miles, VIN X2133786, p-seat, p-lcks, p-win, cruise, tilt, leather int., am/fm CD player, dual air bags, chrome whls., Blue w/Tan leather, t-top

Found that on autoshopper.com, I'm seriously considering this. It has t-tops, now I've heard from a camaro owner that they WILL leak and that you will have to deal with it, how true is that?

Oh alright, I'd figure they may leak just not every time it rained or anything like that.

NBM is a great color, especially with Neutral interior. I have only had 1 leak as well and it was POURING rain that day. I was lucky a tree didn't fall on it instead... that's how hard it was raining.

Well, I'll talk this car over with my dad tonight and see what he thinks for the price, maybe we could walk out of there with $8,000. If not, I guess im going to have to settle for an LT1, I just HATE the headlights on 94-97 so much, don't know why. But my dad has an LT1 in his 55 Chevy and that thing can move! First and only LT1 I've ever road in and I loved it.

But thank you all for your input.

I got a 99 T/A with 51k on it and the tops leak in a high pressure car wash but not in the rain. From what I hear most of them will leak in a car wash.
