Anyways, I was wondering what the emission laws were in this state. I just moved from NY to Boston for a job, and I don't want to get slammed by some weird emissions penalties. Also, are there any f-bod shops in the general area of Boston (please say yes!).

As for emissions: http://vehicletest.state.ma.us/generalinfo.htmlLight-duty gasoline vehicles model year 1996 and newer, including two- and four-wheel drive vehicles, will receive the On-Board Diagnostics (OBD) test. The inspector connects your vehicle’s on-board computer to a computer in the station, and then downloads engine and emissions control data.
As for Boston roads
. I have A LOT more squeaks in my 91 cutlass supreme (daily driver) now than I did before commuting for 1 semester. welcome to mass 
emissons are just like most the crappy ones
basic OBDII scan and visual inspection for cats and emmisions stuff some shops are more leaneant then others

thanks guys....i've noticed how bad these roads suck. But i'm used to it from the Albany area. It's a pretty close competition for most hatch rattling bumps. I'll have to look into the Dez racing boys then....anyone else people can think of?

i just moved to allston...so I guess it's considered part of boston. Hey RemiSS, any bars you can recommend? My apt is over by N.Harvard st., so i've been sticking around there most of the time. So far it's been more partying than working though, so I can't complain!
