Default do i need to change studs for skinnies?

i have 15"draglite skinnies im bout to throw on the front of my 2002 camaro ss do i have to go with a longer stud?also does anyone no the correct lugnut size im also gunna be running a spacer to clear the caliper,thanks..Dan

you should be all set. you may need race style nuts tho, unless the wheel was mad for an Acorn style nut.

I know i didnt have to, and the other few sets i have swapped have been fine. just the lug nuts needed swapping.

Depends on where you're racing. Island doesn't like to see the stock studs being used. Etown and Atco could care less.

Ive only had that problem with the rear wheels. the fronts i have never had an issue

i changed mine, just to play it safe. i didnt wanna get to the track and tell me i need them. the lugnuts are 12x1.50, and like noyzee said, you'll need the race style nuts, and a 5/16th spacer, and you should be good to go

i have heard the front studs tend to snap off with weld prostars and draglights but im not sure.. i may upgrade before i put my skinnies on, just for a safety precaution

I havn't had a problem with mine in the past couple of years. However, with a 5/16" spacer they are no where near being legal at the track. Not sure if the draglites are the same, I asume so.

BTW: Don't buy the Weld lugs. They are junk, they always rust.

I have seen some people take a grinder to the calipers so they dont need spacers but have no idea how safe it would be ..

I got some extra 5/16 laying around brand new I didn't use you wnat them you just pay shipping


that would be shimms that is doooh

i liked the 3/8's myself
