Default Cartek ot TTP?

Want to get some engine work done, specifically the heads and cam. Who do you guys think is better for quality, Cartek or TTP? Had a 96 TA that got eaten up by a Vortech , so this time I want the car to last. It was an endless hassle with the supercharger and this time I want to some mid-level mods and still keep it a semi-daily driver.

The fastest heads and cam, nitrous, turbo and naturally aspirated setups out there are Cartek cars. Use that info to make your decision.

Just because someone builds a fast race car does not necessarily mean they do a great job on street cars or customers cars for that matter. With that said, I don't think you can go wrong with either. I know TTP has great prices. I don't know where you are located but the best place I can reccomend is Dez racing in Seakonk MA & Slowhawk.

No, but it is indicative on how they build their street cars. FWIW, all the fast heads and cam cars that come out of Cartek, ARE street cars.

When BSPZ28 (pete) was a Cartek customer, he drove his Camaro from NY to Kentucky, if that doesn't qualify as "street", then what does?

but remember...they are in a brand new shop..with all new equipment...somehow that has to be paid for.

i do all of my own work...but i would rather take my car to a shop that is neat...has everything clean..and organized.

not a swine stable.

GO TTP
Pete's TTP shot, courtesy of TTP's website:

However, Cartek builds some primo Vettes.. Mike Mitchell, Paul Ziajski, and Mike Conway. All are in the top 10 of the Corvette Challenge 2005 Pro 8 Standings. Also.. some musclehead with a red Camaro, too!

Actually.. Cartek caters to the high-end Vette clients, and TTP is more a F-Body shop.. although TTP doe's have some fast Vette's too!

For a heads & cam setup that works without all the bell's and whistles, TTP uses AFR's and "Equalizer" cams which have dyno sheets to back them up.

So- with that said, TTP would be the best for your needs/price point.
