Exclamation It's back II!!!!!

Time to be heard again!

URGENT LEGISLATIVE ALERT

Massachusetts Bill to Ban the Sale/Installation of Aftermarket Exhaust Systems to be Considered on Tuesday, September 13

A bill (H.B. 2011) to ban the sale or installation of “an exhaust system which has been modified in a manner which will amplify or increase the noise emitted by the exhaust” will be considered by the Joint Transportation Committee on Tuesday, September 13. The bill has been revised from previous versions to exclude limited-use “antique motor cars.” This amendment represents a clear attempt by the bill’s sponsor to divide the automobile hobby in an effort to gain cleaner sailing for this restrictive and damaging piece of legislation.

We Urge You to Call or E-Mail Members of the Transportation Committee Immediately to Oppose H.B. 2011

For those interested in attending the hearing to show their opposition to the bill, the committee will meet on Tues., September 13 at the following address and time:

Capitol Building, Room A-1

Boston, Massachusetts

10:30 a.m.

· H.B. 2011 ignores the fact that aftermarket exhaust systems are designed to make vehicles run more efficiently without increasing emissions.

· H.B. 2011 does not supply law enforcement with a clear standard to enforce, allowing them to make subjective judgments on whether or not a modified exhaust system is in violation.

· H.B. 2011 fails to recognize that aftermarket exhaust systems offer increased performance, which can make a vehicle safer by improving its ability to merge, pass, travel uphill, etc.

· H.B. 2011 would make it difficult for hobbyists to replace factory exhaust systems with more durable, better performing options.

· H.B. 2011 would only exclude “antique motor cars” defined as those vehicles over 25-years old which are used exclusively for exhibitions, club activities, parades, etc.

DON’T DELAY!Please contact members of the Massachusetts Joint Transportation Committee immediately by phone or e-mail to request their opposition to this bill.

Lmao!

Hey now!

I have always known where the website was, just been busy, losing weight that is!

Not much time for the track these days, if I'm not working, or rasing my 11 year old son I'm cruising back and forth to Ottawa Ontario to see my girl.

Well, Bob...If you make the move and marry her, she can move into the U.S. and become a citizen. Bingo. Then, no more grueling trips to Ontario and maybe you can make the trip to NED once in a while. Best wishes. WJ

It has been discussed pal, ....... but she graduated from university last May with a 4.0 grade average and was offered a incredible teachng job before she even finished.
She is now teaching @ the same school her mommy has been teaching @ for the past 20 years, as a matter of fact her class is across the hall from her mothers.
So after I tie up a few loose ends here Rob & I plan on moving up there.

I almost signed up for the LVD T&T for 10/7 but I really don't want to break the Krushmobile again.

Did U ever find one of them "65" Chevelles to race there pops?

No '64 Malibu SS as of yet, Bob...Ontario is beautiful. I worked in the Sarnia area back in the early 80's for 6 mos. doing piping at a crude refinery where the finish product was ethynol-glycol anti freeze. Sounds like this woman is a keeper...Don't screw up. WJ

Way to stand up and be heard!

I was contacted by Bill Galvins office and they pretty much said the same thing, although I am a registered member of http://www.enjoythedrive.com/ so I usally get this kind of info a week or so before any action gets taken.

Right back @ ya Cheesey!

No time for bugging right now, but from time to time I do check on the board and see what the 411 is.
