Default All ATV guys in here!

Since everyone is showing off their ****, I figure I'll show off mine.

This is the Banshee, TRX 450, Raptor, YZF 450, LTZ 400, KFX 700, DS 650 eater. None of these quads can even come close to hanging with my Honda. This bike is a 1986 Honda Fourtrax 250 R with a Eddie Sanders 370 R big stroke. The bike makes close to 85 HP and weighs only 320 lbs. Violent to say the least!

I alos have a 2003 Banshee with all the bolt on mods. That bike is super fast too, but can't hang with the Honda. I have paddle tires for the Banshee which really kicks *** in the snow! The Banshee is probably the most fun of the 2 to ride. The Honda is too much to handle sometimes.

Yes, it is all about ***** and skill's. I have been riding on a supercross track since I was 9. I live 3min. from a MX track that they race at everyweek for points and trophy's. I know I have the skills to pay the bills on the track and can back it up. I ride my banshee all summer and my sled all winter on that track

Dyno queens? Look at the plastic on the Honda... There is none. That thing gets beat to ****! As for the Banshee, those pictures are from the day I first got it. I've been riding quads since I'm 13. I ride with the best of them! Woods, trails, open riding, sand pits, street riding, snow riding. Nothing has beat the Honda yet, not even a CR 250 dirt bike.

JL, as for the gixer, its not a quad motor. I'm talking about 2 stroke or 4 stroke conventional quad motors punched out.

big mike I've got a couple question's for ya about the 370. how is it on your arm's for say a 4 hour ride and how is it for gas? aka 2 hour or 3 hours on a full tank? also how's teh maintance also ? motor wise and drive chain tires and bearing's? I've got a bottom end that is totaly mint win hardly any wear on it that I'm thinking of going to a 370 with but I'm interested in a little info before I spend all teh money to do this .
btw I've got a 85 atc r 3 85 350x's a 86 trx 250r and a 88 250r of which I'm in the proccese this winter of doing rebuilds on most of them except two x's just minor stuff to them. thanks man

I used to race hare scrambles, when there was an open class, races like blackwater, and the like. Power in a race like that never hurts LOL. Esp. when there's 300 guys all in a strait line, aiming at a trail at teh other end of a field that's the width of a jeep.

It's either outrun everyone, or get run over. I used to run a massive quadzilla stroker and overbore, it was close to 600 CC. I raced gusy with that 370 kit you have Mike, and they were fast and could easily keep up 1st thru about the top of 3rd.. but once I got into 4th, I could usually walk everything, except one of the BIG CC'd banshees, like the ones in the 650 CC range. Only reason I ever went to the bike motor was I didn't have to hammer it totally senseless to go the same speed.. the 500 motor I was running needed so much constant maintenance ( rings, piston, bearings, all that crap) that the bike motor, in teh long run, after I got the springing right for the added weight ended up being way cheaper to maintain.

It's not that tough on the arms. It's drinks gas considering I only run a 38mm carb on it. I've freshened the motor 2 times since 2002 when I put the 370 in.

Keep in mind guys, the Banshee's and LT 500's are fast bikes no doubt, but they weigh a ton, 150-200 more than the 86-89 Fourtrax's weigh, especially with the big motors. When my brother rides the Honda (he's only 180 lbs) to my 280 lbs. He brings the front tires up in all 6 gears! I know 310cc Honda Fourtrax's that raped big bore Banshee's because they were much lighter and rev'd much quicker.

On the MX track, nothing beats the pro link suspension of the Honda Fourtrax.

I've had my Honda up to 110 mph on the street.

I'll take nothign froma honda's suspension. The 400EX I had was great in that department, and was fun to ride, very comfortable, etc.etc. ONly thing I ever changed was the rear tires, and the front shock springs to a triple rate one. The white brothers pipe, and cam kit and airfilter/jetting helped the power alot, but still wasn't the race bikes I had before...... but the turbo kit they offer for them would have solved that.

Thumbs up

I've only ridden 3 quads in my lifetime, one of them (the fastest one I've ridden) is the second one (unless that's a different/newer one than you had down in Bowling Green Mike?) pictured above, sucker's got *****.

i dont know mike, looks like a dyno queen.
bring it to maine, lets hit the pit!!!!!

i ran into a guy in the pit one time on a 250 punched out. it ran on methonaol!!!!!
it was sick! extended swing arm all chrome big bore, the bike was sick, and the rider was a nut!!!!!
i like them bikes.

it is true tho, in a trail, your in 1,2 and maybe 3rd, most bikes are the same, its skill that wins in the trail. hit the straight away, and thats different.
