GTO is out of the body shop

GTO is out of the body shop
I have a 2004 GTO that I purchased used with 16,400 miles. The front end was torn up pretty bad (tons of rock chips), it almost looked like the car was pelted with a rock blaster. Griff (badfnz-383) got ahold of my car, sanded down the front end, repaired everything, painted the front bumper, blended the two side panels and re-painted my hood (extra request ontop of the front end work).
I couldnt be more content with the work, the paint was blended perfectly (you cant tell it's blended). The clearcoat was applied just as well and we all know how much of a pain it is to match GM's clearcoat. I had no doubt the car would come out nice but I didnt realize how much nicer the car looks with perfectly matched fresh paint. It will soon get a 12 hour detail by yours truly and the shine will be dropping jaws.
If any of you people are looking for body work and Griff can squeeze you in, he's the one person you want to talk to. Good work, works well and prices cant be beat.

He said anything aside from wax for 4 weeks. He said I could even use compounds, polishes and in place of a wax a non-filler non-oil show car glaze. Basically anything aside from wax's or sealers like you said. The clearcoat will have some sort of weird reaction to wax and it'll mess everything up.
I'm just going to wash the car for now and since it's so cold I figure I'll wait at least 2 months before even thinking about touching it. It's too damn cold to be worrying about detailing, I dont have a garage and the car is kept outside.

glad to see you were happy with everything man. i definitly didnt want to give the car back tho and yea, like i told joe, no waxes for a month. compounds polishes and hand glazes are fine, which was already done when i buffed the car. just got to wait a while for the wax. but like you said joe, its to cold to detail anything now without a garage anyway, so you'll be all set. just let me know when you re-order the stripe and ill slap those on too.
