To stop crank from turning when removing crank pulley. Doesn't look bad, I assume that's for the stock pulley... doesn't look like it will do much with an asp or other u.d. units. Doesn't look bad though.

Whold trick to welding is to never stop the welder while actually doing work, and a good steady hand. I haven't done any in a long time, but whenI was playing around with one years ago.. that is what I found.

For what it's worth, a good wire fed mig is way easier then an arc, and weldign alum. is a real pain to do... at least that's what I remember.

Come on Dave, lets see the welds. If you are using real mig (gas) the most important ting is havig enough gas, then having the correct power/speed, then the steady hand.

That's not terrible... I wouldn't be too ashamed of that. if it was your first time... that's actually decent. I have seen alot worse... like my own the first time... but then again, I was 15, and a steady hand wasn't even an option

When making your own tools... #1 the tool needs to work. Anything after that is a bonus.
