I've NEVER seen them mirror any vehicle, and if you're 98+ you go, pay your 29 buck "emissions tax" and they scan the OBD II computer. If you have the nessecary "defeat" measures, you should be ok. They should look to see if you have any controls turned off, but...100% of the emissions monkeys probably don't know what to look for anyways.

you will pass... as long as they dont get you with the mirror (you could put the heat sheilds in place however and they wont know any differant) - i passed, you roll in they plug in under your dash, and i was out, after they guy giving the test asked "y0 y0u gOtz flowmaztaz?" i just said "uhh yeah" and left

In CT you will pass if:
1. Your SES (check engine light) works, but is NOT on.
2. You do not have more than 3 moniters not set/not ready
3. You have cats (in CT I have never once checked for cats unless being watched by a DMV agent)
By my best estimates I have tested 4,000-5,000 cars for the state of CT, and I can say with a strait face that the whole system is a complete joke.
