Default Maybe one of you Pro's can help me with my tranny problem

Hey guys, just wanted to call onto your almighty knowledge

Problem: 4l60e

At 1200 RPM's in 1st a bad vibration coming from the drivetrain
In 2nd around 2000 RPMs same vibration.
On hard accelerations the bad vibration continues

Tried fixes:

I've tried replacing the trans fluid, filter, and gasket.
I've also checked the yoke, and there seems to be a good amount of play there.

Any ideas may help. Thanks guys

Chris

i'd say the tranny mount is the most likely/most inexpensive fix so that is where i would start. any slipping or abnormal shifting or just vibration?

I'd start with the tranny mount and U-Joints...check them though, don't just replace them or it may be a waste of money.

Your U-joints are going to break soon.

I have not checked the tranny mount, but may do so tomorrow. If it's nice that is. Calling for snow

However, there is no slipping that I can tell of. Just the bad vibration. If I hold it at exactly the right RPM there is a ticking, or a clunking from the tranny/driveshaft area. Maybe the u-joint area.

Don't risk driving the car. If it's not the tranny mount. make sure you check everything. If your driveshaft lets go from the front while driving, you could wind up dead. Make sure your yolks and u-joints are secure!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Probably the Tranny mount. My car ate a couple stock one's. So far the Poly one I got is holding up just fine.

Think it could be a tranny mount?.....Wouldn't it clunk real bad though if it was a tranny mount?

Yeah, I'll look into that. I just wish I had another driveshaft to swap into the place of the existing one. That would make it real easy right?

Just pop that one in....if it doesn't do it, then there is a problem with mine
