How to protect the starter wires???

Just looking for others ideas on protecting the harness that carries the starter wires and the oil level sensor wires. I keep melting through the loom and the aluminum looking tape. Luckily the wires are still fine.

Looked for a better way to route them, but they only reach in one direction???

Yeah I melted the loom and tape too with my headers. I found some high temp protective sleeving, slit it to get it around the loom, and then used wire to wrap it tight. Seems to have worked so far.

Also used it on the braided line that runs to the slave to keep the clutch hydraulic fluid from getting to hot with the headers nearby.

I don't really know if it's on the market anywhere but the military has this tape called F4 tape. It's basically electrical tape that sticks only to itself so even if the wire is dirty it will stay on fine. Anyways there's two different types that I know of, the black type resists heat up to 500 degrees, the orange type resists up to 1000 degrees (I think, seems wacked but that's just what I've heard). It's mostly used for wiring harnesses against the jet engines where temps reach the extreme. I would be willing to get some for ya but it's stealing from the government, meaning I would be stealing your tax money along with everyone else. I'm sure you can find it somewhere though. Good luck. I think I've seen it somewhere but couldn't tell you where sorry.
