give me a adress so i can map quest it, see what i can do.
any pics of what you have so far?
Out the bottom is 6 bolts, steering column, two brake lines, upper strut mounts and hoses/fuel lines. Pull the harness out with the car and everything. No reaching under the cowl to disconnect sensors on the back of the motor, unbolting headers, removing radiators, intake, HOOD etc. Once the motor is out everything is right in front of you making dissasembly/reassemby a breeze???
For the novice, out the bottom is the way to go.
then you can keep the motor with the tranny.Last Saturday I put in pushrods, intake, accessories, flywheel, clutch, tranny, headers, harness, got in on the crossmember, lowered the car onto the K-member, bolted it up, struts, hoses, belt, tranny crossmember, steering column, wiring, brakelines in about 6-7hrs with minimum help. Literally worked by myself except for the occasional, "can you give me a hand."
I have never pulled it out the top though, I did begin to do it that way the first time. Just seemed as though I was always working around something, sitting on the rad support etc. Not to mention scratching my fenders to hell leaning over them (with blankets). I could be wrong, I've been wrong before, but I've done it twice now through the bottom.
OK I'm done
